Rovanpera sets pace
Kalle Rovanpera is the man to beat on Estonia's rapid stages but Craig Breen is right behind him. Breen was setting Stage 3 and 4 splits alight only to lose time behind Gus Greensmith's stop-starting Fiesta. Breen had both times amended and with Ott Tanak out of the rally Breen holds Hyundai's winning hopes.

Tanak's home heartbreak
Ott Tanak was setting the early pace in Estonia before a puncture on Stage 3 started his demise. A Stage 4 excursion into a crop field looked to damage his Hyundai beyond repair and Tanak subsequently pulled off the stage to park up for the day.

Friday retirements
Tanak is joined on the retirement list by Gus Greensmith and Takamoto Katsuta. Greensmith's Fiesta WRC cut out on Stage 3 before coming to a permanent stop on the next test. Katsuta retired from a podium position after co-driver Dan Barritt suffered a back injury.
