Mixed results for NI trio on Rally Spain

Junior WRC heartbreak

A missed braking point in Saturday morning fog proved decisive in Jon Armstrong and Phil Hall's Junior WRC title hunt. They were stuck roadside for five minutes, handing the rally and championship lead to Sami Pajari. Several stage wins weren't enough for Armstrong to claw back the points lost to his Finnish rival.

Magnificent McErlean

Josh McErlean and James Fulton recorded their first ever WRC podium on Rally Spain. The Hyundai pair progressively built their speed through the rally to climbed WRC 3's standings. They grabbed third on the final day.

Neuville dominates

At the front, Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe sealed their second WRC win together. The Belgians controlled Rally Spain from Friday afternoon. Even a technical issue on Sunday's final regroup couldn't stop them. Elfyn Evans and Dani Sordo completed the podium.
