Lukyanuk leads after SS7 drama Breen out

Gryazin gives up lead
Nikolay Gryazin's Polo R5 suffered extensive damage on SS7 while leading the rally by 40s. The Russian had maximised running 39th on the road but his crash hands Alexey Lukyanuk the lead before Saturday night's super special.

Issues for the Irish
Craig Breen had led Ireland's ERC crews before suspension damage stopped him 1 km from the end of SS7. He had been as high as third earlier in the day. Callum Devine lost fifth gear on SS3 and with his spare running shorter ratios he's now suffering on Poland's high-speed stages.

Armstrong impresses
Jon Armstrong has been the man to beat in Rally3, building a two-minute lead in the new class. The Junior WRC contender holds 20th overall on the ERC opener, beating a list of Rally2 (R5) cars.
