Tanak seizes early Monte-Carlo lead

Eventful season start
Tanak stole a march on his rivals in slippery conditions with two stage-wins on Monte-Carlo's opening day. He leads Rovanpera and Evans with their team-mate Ogier struggling with brake issues down in fifth overall.

Mishaps and moments
While setting fastest splits on SS1, Suninen crashed with a few corners remaining. He slid into a bank and rolled off the road after losing control on road markings. Evans also had a moment on the same location. Katsuta spun on each of Thursday's stages.
