Rally Insight unveils 2020 yearbook
Rally Insight has released its latest yearbook covering 2020’s best Irish rallying stories as well as special features from years gone by. The yearbook is back by popular demand after its debut success last year.
Editor, Adam Hall, has decided to name this year’s edition “Black Road” after the famous Galway stage’s importance in Alastair Fisher’s maiden Irish Tarmac victory earlier this year. An interview with the popular Fermanagh driver leads the 70+ page yearbook and sets the tone for the rest of the features.
It’s Adam’s intention to name each edition of the yearbook after a defining stage from that season.
“I was overwhelmed by the messages of encouragement and interest following last year’s book,” said Adam Hall. “My aim last year was to capture the stories, atmosphere, and tales surrounding rallying in Ireland, I think people just caught onto that concept.
“I must thank the drivers, co-drivers, and even journalists, who have talked to me over the past months and I think we’ve put together something that people will enjoy even more.
“There is so much to cover when it comes to rallying in Ireland. Even though there has been a limited amount of action on our shores this year, we have had crews representing Ireland in the European and World Rally Championships.
“This year has also allowed me to dig up some stories from the past, and with the help of my brilliant contributors there is some really interesting classic content to enjoy this time around.”
Here is just a small taster of what you can find in Rally Insight’s 2020 Yearbook:
– Paul Nagle relives key moments in his career so far
– Matthew Wilson remembers a special day in Greystoke Forest
– Andreas Mikkelsen shares memories of rallying in Ireland
– Rory Kennedy recounts his time beside Bertie Fisher
– Mark Higgins describes what makes Irish roads unique
– John Coyne explains how he claimed his 1982 Tarmac title in unique fashion
There are many more features included and some will be shared on Rally Insight’s social media channels over the next few weeks, so keep your eye out on those.
Yearbooks will be printed at the end of the month so orders for Christmas close on 23rd November. If you would like to receive one in the post, just email rallyinsight@gmail.com expressing your interest. The 2020 yearbook is £13.95 plus postage and packaging.
Adam would like to thank everyone who has already ordered this year’s book and especially those who supported the first edition last year. The response was beyond any expectation.
Some of the reviews can be seen below:
“The photos chosen were high quality and the content was excellent.”
“A book written for rally fans by people that share the same passion for the sport.”
“It looks and reads brilliantly, a proper well researched and produced yearbook.”
“It’s earned a firm place among my favorite pieces of rallying literature! Looking forward to next year’s book.”
