Coronavirus forces Donegal International Rally postponement
The Donegal Motor Club has postponed the 2020 Donegal International Rally due to the current coronavirus pandemic.
The rally’s Clerk of the Course, Eamon McGee, explained that the health and safety of everyone involved in the event was of greatest importance.
“Whilst the postponement is very disappointing given the time and effort already put into the event,” Club Chairman Brian Brogan added. “We must also remember the huge effort and sacrifice that medical and front line emergency personal are putting in.”
Before today’s announcement the situation of Donegal’s three-day rally was unknown as Motorsport Ireland had only suspended its events until 1 June.
Motorsport UK has suspended its events until the end of June.
